I am on a flat viewing spree!! View 2 flats on Mon with Irene, Kris and Mommy. 1 just next to my current blk and the other 1 is opposite the carpark

. Now all seller ask for cash for 2nd hand flat. And its like the amount is so HUGE!! SGD$15K - SGD$30K!! Gosh!! And some of them renovate the place, then they sell and they expect the next owner to pay for their renovation! So unfair right!! There was even this agent I called up, so stuck up, first thing he ask me is if I have enough cash. He says the owner renovated the place so I don't need to do anything. And asking for $30k cash!! And he says, if i don;t have the 30k then no need to waste time!! So rude right? I mean, why should I pay for the previous owner renovation. If I purchase the flat, the renovation should be consider 2nd hand and I have to pay 1st hand price? And things do depreciate! Should I say they are greedy or just so self centered?

Anyway I answer him that agents around my place are asking for 40k cash so I had prepared to pay that 40k provided I really like the house so much that I think its worth it. Must be more stuck up then him ma. This type of people want to sell flat but so "yaya" no need to be nice to them 1. But in the end I didn't even bother to go view his flat. See how long he take to sell his "gold house"

The 1st flat I went to view is just next to my parents in law blk. And same block as Irene!! Its quite low floor - 3rd storey only. Its an Indian family house. They have got 1 ceiling fan in each room and living room. Which make the ceiling look very low. And I think tall people wouldn't dare to come if I buy the place because they will need to bend their head down to prevent it from being chopped off. Haha!

And its quite run down. Will need a to renovate the whole house. Flooring also those old type of ceramic tiles. And toilets too, need to redo. Over all except for needing a big make over, I quite like this flat. Its just next to PIL house so I can safely let Jovel go over on her own since there is no road to cross. And its the same block as Irene - my wish to stay same blk with a friend. Few weeks back went to ballot for a unit next to Xiang Wei but didn't have the luck. Now can stay same blk as Irene also not bad. Haha. Its Irene I am worried about, wait u find me a nuisance. Haha. We were already saying if we stay same block, Verlene and Jovel will go each other house everyday, no need to leave the block just take lift. And they will be on the phone daily ranting away. Then the 2 Mommies will always go out leaving them 2 @ hm.

The 2nd flat belongs to a Chinese family. This is the 1 across a carpark. Facing a main road which make me think if it will be noisy during peak hours. The agent says that since its on the 17th floor, the noise will be minimal. But agent words, can trust ma? They wanna sell the house they of cos will say like that. This house flooring is ok - terrazzo. Only the kitchen and toilets need to be renovated. The room seems bigger and ceiling seems higher. Mommy says that its the same, just that the Indian family house very messy and got ceiling fan that's why got the illusion. Haha. The window grill need to be changed. Its still those 20 years ago type, those metal 1. This family upgrading to a 5 room flat, so the agent says if i buy the flat, the owner ask to be allowed to stay for another 2 months for the renovation @ their new house to complete. I think its ok, just that I hope they will have conscience to take care of the house for that 2 week and not have the thinking that since its already not their house no need to bother. And hopefully during that 2 months they will not go borrow loan sharks then move out and I become the victim of loan shark harassment. Saw so many this tyoe of news in the papers. Once it starts, its very hard to settle the issue.

I got no idea yet which 1 is a better choice. Irene's mommy advice me to slowly look around somemore. Surely got somemore people selling. And since I am not in the hurry I should take my time. I thinks thats true.

1st Mission for 2008 - Get my driving license. 2nd Mission - Get my own dwelling place.
