My Home

I actually wanted to name this blog as "My Jail". Haha. Because I really feel like getthing out of here. To be exact, its not feel, its I MUST get out of here. I moved here right after my wedding for the purpose of maintaining /symbolise my marriage (Aunty from the 6th floor will ask Aunty from the 15th floor " Do U know the David's just got a daughter in law?) But now that the marriage is on the rock, there's nothing that makes me wanna come back here except for the 2 kids. Is difficult but so far I have managed to drag myself home after work. Anyway, lets take a look around.

This is my bedroom. It look like a storeroom. Never able to keep it clean with the 2 of them around. My ger insist to be in the picture. That's my boy as usual jumping on my bed. Hahah.

Here, we are looking @ the small balcony. Fil made this into a minigarden with all his plants and bonsai. Joash's always play with the soil from the pots, ewww.. Jovel is playing on the keyboard that her grandma bought her for Christmas last year.

A close up on the plants. There are some on the outside of the window and some more on the right.

The dinning area taken from the balcony. This is also where we do our work and homework. Looks like its taken fron the 2nd story right? Haha.. Opticle illusion.

The maid's room cum computer room. Another messsy area. Hahah..

My room and maid's room is just side by side. Joash is accidentally caught in this picture.

PMS

I feel very down this few days. I got no idea why. But suddenly I miss my grandparents so much. I used to be very proud that I have my full sets of grandparents and a great grand mother when I was in Primary school. Felt like not many of my friends were as lucky as me.

Then 9 years ago my maternal grandmother passed away very suddenly. I still remember we even visited her in the 1st day of CNY 1999. But she passed away on the 5th day. She is 1 most respectable woman. Strong, giving, forgiving and always know what she's doing. Many things happened after her passing. I know very well that if she's around all these will not have happened.

As for my father side. The side where I grew up with. Grandpa is getting more and more confusing about things around him. We did not send him to the doctor because we believe that he's just being himself - aging graciously. I think its a good idea that medical science is not introduced into his life. I feel like if he's fed medicine, he wouldn't be as lively and fresh as he is now. Although he can't see well and get confused about his timing, overall he's still quite independant.

Grandma was still pretty strong until recently she complaint of pain in her knees and back. She has been on medicaine for her high blood for many years now. Mental wise, she is still good at it. She can still cook but only with my aunty around. We are worried that 1 day she might forget to turn off the gas. She still remembers alot of our chinese tradition rules for ALL occasions. Confinements, birthday, wedding etc. Haha. She's like 1 walking ecyclopedia.

Great Grandma (Ah Chor) passed away @ a ripe age of 90+. There were a hundred over of us to send her off. I don't know much about her past but looking at the family members present I am sure she's the same as my grandma - kind, gentle and loved by all. She's got adopted children, step children. All getting along with no problem. The only reason I can think of is because she is a fair and loving lady. That's why the whole family, though there are children and grand children not of her own, everyone still cry and feel sad at her departure.

Jovel On Eye Patch

Happy New Year to all!!!!!
Its been sometime I no mood to blog. Very busy lately. Jovel had started her Primary 1. Everything went quite well. Now she and Verlene can go on the bus on their own. Feel happy that my girl is all grown up. But felt a bit emotional too. I don't know why but I feel like crying when I saw her sitting there listening to her principal's speech. She's obviously enjoying her new environment and friends but why am I still sad? funny right?
I bought her to the doctor yesterday. She had always have this squint eye problem. Especially when she's sleepy or just woke up. The doctor prescribe patching of her left eye for 2 hrs per day for 3 months then to go back for review. I went there thinking it was her right eye that was "lazy" but after some tests the doctor says both her eyes are out of alignment but still her right side is more serious. So we will rectify her right eye first then do alternate patching after 3 months.
As for Joash, he is now very very mobile. He goes all over the house. Room to room. Very happy that my baby is not a "baby" anymore. haha. But also very pity the maid run in and out after him. He like to climb up and down my bed, throw his toys around and watching his Hi-5 (His idol is Charli. Since baby his face seems to brighten everytime he watches her segment!) Very soon it will also be his turn to go school. Hopfully he will be as independant and friendly as the sister.
